Christian Dating Tips

Christian Dating can be a wonderful thing, and also a nightmare. For those who are looking to find the rite person, someone to share your life with and grow old, this can be tricky. I personally have had many heartaches in my life, and a few relationships that have not worked out. I thought I would tell you about a few things I have learned along the way to help you in looking for that special someone.
First, I would take a good look at yourself. If you are a very devoted christian in your particular religion, then I suggest that you find someone within your particular religion. If you are Born Again, look for some one that is Born Again, If you are Baptist, find someone that is Baptist, if you are Catholic, find someone that is Catholic ect… I think you get the idea
Why does it matter? If you marry someone outside of your faith, it might just work out for you. However, if, or when you have kids, who’s church are they going to grow up in? What faith will they practice? It will be a lot better if you don’t have to make these tough decisions when that time comes, it would be a lot easier to have a spouse in the same religion. Also you will not disagree about religious views that do differ from one church to the other. In the long run, this will save you a lot of headache. Wile I have seen some couples agree on going to different churches, I have also seem more end in divorce because of it.
Second, Find someone that you want to be a better person for. In the case of myself, I have dated people that I have become, and wanted to become a better person because I have been around them. This seems simple, but when you really find that person that you love to be around, next you start doing things you usually don’t, such as learning new things, picking up new habits, and finding more enjoyable theings to do to around the house, yard, or in work. This is great for self improvement, and will make you a better person. Finding someone that you will want to be a better person around is one key to happiness.
Lastly when looking for that special someone to spend the rest of your life with, find someone who is your best friend. My Dad always told me find your best friend. This implies that you can be yourself around the other person. Don’t be affraid to tell the other person exacly how you feel. This means that you are being honest with each other, and will help you avoid those oh, so anyoying games! Being honest with each other will also help you build trust. A well known quote is, “It’s better to be trusted then loved.” This I belive to be true. Being honest with each other will benifit you and your partner. Personally coming from a Man’s point of view, I like to know what the Women is thinking, and feeling. In conclusion, I think you should just be yourself! Get out there and don’t be afraid to be you! If the other person dosn’t like you for it, then they are not from you!
