Is breaking up with someone by text ever acceptable?

I only dated my boyfriend for six weeks and he broke up with me by text. Is this seen as acceptable because we weren’t together long? Also, what are the main reasons for breaking up by text? Did he hate me that much?

No, it is never acceptable. He broke up via text because he is a coward. Be glad you are rid of him. He’s a loser.

Text dumps are the WORST. It means the guy doesn’t have the backbone to tell you face to face. If he asks you for a second chance, don’t give it to him. You deserve much better.

no in any situation braking up by text isn’t acceptable, however he maybe didn’t want to hurt you and/or see you upset, but he should of wrote you a letter or something its much more sincere. he probably doesn’t hate you and has a good reason for breaking up. he’ll soon realise what hes lost

NO! He’s a jerk and need to grow balls and have the courage to actually tell you..He might try and justify saying he didn’t wanna hurt you and thought u might take it easier by text..but forget him if he text u a break-up he ain’t a real man!
